COMMENTS
She is in a bit of a sorry state at the
moment. But now the fun begins with the restoration
Just a short note about Gwendoline Alice named after my
wife's Nan who sadly passed away leaving us a small amount.
And so Gwendoline Alice was reborn.
She (the boat that is) is on a trailer on my drive at
the moment, we rescued her from a farmers barnyard.
Unfortunately she is in a right mess, so we (me & wifey)
will be giving her a complete rebuild.
At the moment she is being stripped out completely. I
have to be kept in check by Dawn as I want it done & in the water yesterday.
We live by the canal at a place called Stourbridge West
Mids. We live towpath side but unfortunately do not have mooring rights.
Gwen is I believe a Callumcraft 17 circa early 60's we
think. She has a 9.8 Mercury 2 stroke outboard (not been fired up yet so of
unknown quality). When complete we would like to use & moor her on the canal
network around us.
Hopefully I have enclosed some picky of Gwen sporting
her new canopy so now she is at least dryish so we can work on her.
